Opal Marine the UK’s favourite yacht distributor is to be re-branded over the coming months to Peters Opal.  Opal Marine, part of Peters plc, is changing its branding to coincide with Peters plc’s multi branded offering strategy. The Peters group will be promoted as power and sail, with all offices selling both motor boats and yachting brands.
 
Commenting on this latest development Julian Gowing, MD of newly named Peters Opal explains, ‘Opal Marine will be changing its name to Peters Opal, this strategy is already underway with the majority of offices now operating under the new name. With this re-branding a new logo will be introduced to update the company.  The Opal Marine team views this as a beneficial step into our future. We want to highlight that Peters Opal is still the same company offering high levels of professional expertise and excellent customer service’.
 
This summer Peters Opal is introducing the new Bavaria vision line, available as 40, 44 and 50 foot cruisers.  The vision line will see increased standard equipment and a new dimension in speed potential through the introduction of developed hull designs and significantly increased sail areas.
 
Island Packet, USA is also releasing their new SP Cruiser based on a motorsailer style with additional deck house and newly designed hull.
