World Debut of the Sporty Legend 27X From Luhrs Marine PDF Print E-mail
ImageThe British built Legend 27X, Luhrs Marine’s new high performance yacht will enter Legend yachts into a sporty new style of sailing. Innovatively designed incorporating an asymmetric spinnaker, the 27X has been developed to provide an exciting racing experience without compromising on cruising interior comforts. These low-maintenance 27 foot yachts offer spacious interiors fitted to a standard of excellence and feature top quality race equipment. The Legend 27X will be available to view on Peters Opal stand F7/F9 for the duration of the Southampton Boat Show, test sails are available upon request.

Created with a focus on performance, the 27 foot yacht is highly specified and powered with an extended mast and performance sail plan. The spinnaker is developed to fly from the retractable bow sprit to increase the sail area and improve the position of the spinnaker. The 27X hull has been innovatively designed to work with the sail plan and increase speed potential of the yachts. A deep fin adds righting moment for the taller rig and will provide strong bite for windward sailing. The new design also features a Saildrive diesel engine with folding propeller, tiller steering and other race equipment.

These modern yachts incorporate a fine combination of smooth exterior lines with a spacious, comfortable interior. The interior is based around an open-plan salon area with a large double-berthed private cabin and a forward double berth. Galley and cockpit storage has been maximized incorporating hanging lockers, under seat storage, and halyard storage bags. Additional features such as the portable icebox, two burner stove and stainless steel sink are included to make all aspects of your sailing experience enjoyable.
